According to Cocktail reference Sipping Safari by Jeff ‘Beachbum’ Berry, Donn Beach invented the Zombie Cocktail to help folks mask a hangover to be functional enough to get through a business meeting – a tall order indeed!
So how does a practical drink with an honourable lineage like this become named the Zombie Cocktail ?
Apparently the drink’s smooth, fruity taste conceals a mighty alcoholic punch (no pun intended ;).
The Zombie Cocktail is held in such reverence that Don the Beachcomber’s limits its customers to just two Zombies lest they turn into the Living Dead.
